To give up or keep fighting for my dreams?

“Should I post or not?”
This last week has been brutal.
I have been so discouraged lately.

Some people can be so hurtful. We received yet another ugly letter from the same friend we welcomed into our family last year. We loved, we trusted, and we were betrayed. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the only betrayal in 2018.
I am tempted to grab my suitcase, neatly pack my BIG dreams inside, and head to the tropics with my husband and son. We could live happily ever after in a tiny house we build and just forget about trying to change the world!
I know I need to forgive and learn to love even my enemies. I thought I was making progress and then another letter appears…
What would you do?

  1. “Just keep swimming” that “friend” would love nothing more than to watch you give up. You are better than that, and God has bigger plans than that! Burn that letter just like we all get to burn that mortgage note when we partner with you in your dream to change the world! Hugs!

God gave yo those dreams. They are valid. Disregard the naysayers. God has a vision he’s trying to fulfill through you. Keep asking for favor, guidance, hope, and the right people to show up in your life. Keep moving forward

    Shari,
So sorry to hear about betrayal and rejection that you have been feeling from others! You have a big heart to love and trust and the pain is real! Wow! What can I say? You have been through much but know that your Heavenly Father has your back and he put in you a will to fight and not quit! You guys are amazing! He will NEVER betray nor abandon you! Keep pushing through and you will reap the benefits of your sweat and tears!

    Dear Shari,

I am so sorry. I understand so well what you are saying as I have experienced much rejection, betrayal, and pain, but the Lord uses it to form the special character needed to carry the calling placed in you. I encourage you to get back up, let it go in forgiveness, and keep going. You are so loved, appreciated and needed. The enemy wouldn’t bother if he didn’t know your potential. I have known you a very short time, but I see the sweet spirit and beauty in you. The vision the Lord placed in your heart is so special and needed – it will happen. Be touched and refreshed by His Spirit today. Bless You, Linda

  5. The bigger the dream, the bigger the fight. Just depends on how bad you want it! I say dig your heal in and push through the muck and clear the path of your mind to see only that which is in front of you, not behind you.
