Do you recognize these guys? Do you recognize the house behind us?
They co-host Tiny House Nation and are great advocates for the good of the tiny house people and with Operation Tiny Homes for Veterans. Tiny House Nation reached out to us to find a good client for a show. We were building a shell for a sweet family in Dallas. They were a perfect fit. They helped our client finish their tiny House on the show. It was beautiful! Did you see the episode, “two turntables and a tiny house” last season? Search for it on Netflix and watch tonight! It was fun to give them a tour at the Austin tiny house show. Zach Giffin and John Weisbarth. #operationtinyhomes

HGTV Tiny Paradise, Aug 17, 9pm/8 c. Season 2, Episode 5
Boerne, TX – – Hill Country Tiny Houses, a company specializing in custom-built tiny homes, announced today that they will be featured on HGTV’s Tiny Paradise on August 17, 2018. The episode was filmed throughout the month of April as well as a few days in May on Red Sands ranch out in Mason, TX and will feature Todd and Shari Snyder as well as their 12-year-old son as they built and designed ‘The Bohemian Bungalow.’
Shari Snyder, Hill Country Tiny Houses’ CEO and designer stated, “while there were numerous challenges that had to be overcome during the filming of the show, we persevered and were able to meet all of our deadlines, turning out a truly masterful product in record time.” The tiny house has since been on its maiden voyage to an expo in Schaumburg, IL, just outside of Chicago where everyone was impressed with the craftsmanship as well as the innovative maximization of space through the use of slide-outs. Hill Country Tiny Houses is one of the first companies in the U.S. to implement the use of slide-outs in the design and people are noticing.
Filming and building ‘The Bohemian Bungalow’ on Red Sands Ranch in Mason, TX was very difficult due to the remote location. An hour and a half from the nearest Home Depot and nearly an hour from the Snyder’s own tiny home in Fredricksburg, TX, it required careful and precise planning when it came to purchasing and delivering supplies. However, despite such complications, the Snyder’s were able to complete the project in the month they were allotted for the build as well as filming several family outings. It is remarkable how well Todd and Shari interacted on camera and how well they adapted to such an environment.
The episode will include several family activities including antique shopping, driving around the ranch and fishing as well as beautiful shots of the location, set in front of red bluffs on the river. In addition, the episode will give the viewer an inside look at how a tiny house is built and the design process required.
