- There is no such thing as closure.
- There will always be regrets. No matter how much time you had, you’ll always long for more.
- There is no timeline. You will grieve, in some form, forever.
- Grief is not a linear “5 stages.” It is messy and confusing.
- Grief can make you feel like you’ve gone crazy.
- However badly you thought it could hurt, it’s a million times worse.
- Grief will make you question your faith, your life, your whole purpose. And maybe that’s not always bad.
- You will grieve their death, but also grieve for the future you no longer have with them.
- There is no “normal” to grieving.
- You’ll lose yourself. And it’ll be difficult to find yourself again.
