Texas record snowstorm (SNOVID 21)

By Shari Snyder

In December, I told my family and friends to prepare for a possible emergency/lockdown. I said stock up with 2 weeks of food and water, meds, 2nd Amendment supplies, have gas in your tank and cash on hand. I said prepare for possible power outages and communication blackouts. Watch my video from Jan 11.

I followed these events as they took place around the world since December, but in February it hit Texas hard!

Many thought I was crazy, but we had supplies and a generator and all the neighbors in our community had prepared together. We were able to serve others who were not prepared.

Our church in Abilene sheltered and fed 500 people in 4 days. It was beautiful to see the city work together and do hard things. The church had power but no water for 24 hours. Chick Fil A and Olive Garden donated meals. Elderly lives, infants and pets were safe.

Texans are strong and they help each other in time of need.

Preparedness will always be an integral part of the tiny home communities we build along with fostering the “neighbor helping neighbor” lifestyle.

Our friends Brad and Elizabeth have a $27 guide you can use to be prepared for any disaster.
