Power and water being “rationed” and turned off causing all sorts of issues and even hypothermic death. See houses here in Texas are not built or insulated for freezing temps.
Supply lines for food, supplies, fuel, etc. not able to get thru on the snow & ice covered roads.
Grocery stores and smaller stores or markets either not open, or limiting times, standing lines to enter and shelves mostly out of everything.
I drove to Home Depot yesterday to get parts to fix a broken water pipe and got the last parts. The interesting thing was the few fast food restaurants that were open had lines around the block and into the main road for our little part of San Antonio, because grocery stores are empty…I am sure those restaurants will soon be closed again.
Gas stations either out of fuel, running out of fuel or having issues with freezing pumps.
Roadways…well…that’s a whole other story because they just don’t have the equipment or materials (salt/sand mixes or de-icer)

Texas, we have lots of work to do and this showed the cracks and holes in the infrastructure.

As for socialism (really communism)…here’s my answer. Uuuuummmm Hell No!
